In August of 2014 Kayce got extremely sick. We took her to our local ER where the doctor ran blood tests and told us our daughter had leukemia. Our world came crashing down. She was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital where she went through more blood tests 2 transfusions and a bone marrow biopsy that ultimately came back showing no cancer. We were relieved. Kayce got better and was able to be the flower girl at my wedding to her daddy.
Then, in November of 2014, Kayce got sick and the doctors in Santa Barbara wanted us to bring her down for more tests. On November 25th of 2014 Kayce was diagnosed with Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. I felt like we were in a tornado of doctors, social workers, nurses. Putting her port in. Giving her meds and meds to treat the effects of the other meds. I had a gallon size ziplock back full of medications for my daughter. Then I went to this cancer retreat where Tracy was a guest speaker there. I instantly adored her. I think it was about a week later that I was able to get the cannabis oils for my daughter and after just the first dose her pain and nausea started to get better.
See, Kayce had just had a lumbar puncture and those made her very sick and she wouldn’t, and couldn’t, eat because of all the medicine they were giving her on top of all the chemotherapy. I am happy to say that ever since starting the cannabis oils Kayce has not had to take any of the extra medication. All that she gets is the chemo and then the cannabis oils and she rarely ever gets sick anymore. I can even say she is thriving. She is able to go to school and play and be a kid. I am so grateful that I crossed path with Tracy and the whole CannaKids staff.READ MORE
